Deputy Manager - Residential Childcare

Working Hours:
46.5 hours per week
Schedule: 3 shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, plus 1 shift of 24 hours, including a sleep-in.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager for a residential childcare setting in Castleford. This role involves supporting the management team in providing high-quality care to young people aged 8-18 who have experienced significant challenges and trauma. The Deputy Manager will help ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmental environment for the young people, while also contributing to the professional growth and support of the care team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the daily management of the residential home, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations.

Serve as a positive role model for both staff and young people, fostering a supportive and development-focused environment.

Support the team in delivering tailored care plans that meet the individual needs of each young person.

Manage staff schedules, training, and development in conjunction with the management team.

Oversee the day-to-day operations, including administrative duties and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in residential childcare or a related field, with some supervisory or management experience.

Level 3/4 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent (preferred).

Full UK driving license is essential
