About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Services Manager to join our team for a prestigious pharmaceutical project in Oxfordshire. As a Tier 1 main contractor, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all building services are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and oversee the building services aspect of the pharmaceutical project from inception to completion.
System Maintenance: Ensure all building services systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are efficiently maintained and operate seamlessly.
Compliance: Guarantee that all systems comply with health, safety, and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets for building services, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and other support staff.
Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve any issues related to building services systems promptly.
Energy Efficiency: Implement and promote energy-saving measures and sustainability initiatives within the project.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in managing building services for large-scale projects, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector.
Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
Project Management: Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of local and national building codes, safety standards, and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with stakeholders, team members, and contractors.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex issues efficiently.
IT Skills: Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant IT tools.
