Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of education for the pupils in the absence of their regular teacher. You will ensure a positive and productive learning environment by delivering pre-prepared lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and supporting pupils with their educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and deliver pre-set work to classes of pupils in the absence of the regular teacher.
Manage classroom behavior in line with school policies and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
Support pupils in their learning and provide guidance where necessary.
Liaise with teaching staff to ensure a smooth handover of classes.
Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and any issues that arise during lessons.
Assist with other duties as required, including playground supervision and administrative tasks.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a calm and positive environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and flexible approach to work.
A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare would be advantageous.What We Offer:
