About Qureight
Qureight is a MedTech company based in Cambridge, UK, but with employees working remotely spread across the country. It was founded in 2018 by medical doctors with the mission of combining cloud-based technology, machine learning and life sciences to transform the way we use clinical data to improve the lives of patients with complex diseases.
At Qureight, we develop machine learning models to analyse clinical imaging data, extract biomarkers and improve diagnosis and prognosis of complex heart and lung diseases. These models allow biopharma and academic institutions to obtain new insights into diseases and response to treatment.
The Role
We are building a cloud-based platform to curate and analyse clinical and imaging data using machine learning and statistics. We are actively developing discriminative models for classification, semantic segmentation and object detection in lung CT scans. In addition, we plan to build more advanced models using self-supervised learning, image generative models and multi-modal models (image, text, clinical data). As a junior machine learning scientist, your role is to help the team in the development and validation of these models. You will have the chance to learn and hone your machine-learning skills in one of the most exciting and challenging areas of application.
We are looking for candidates experienced in deep learning and computer vision who are keen to contribute to model research and development, scientific publications and the integration of models into a production pipeline. The role requires both strong machine learning science knowledge and engineering skills. You will work with other machine learning experts in the conception, development and deployment of the next generation of clinical machine learning models.
The machine learning team is based in London and meets twice a week in person. This role is hybrid and we will be willing to consider flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
MSC or BSC + industry experience in a STEM field.
Full right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship (we can only consider applications with a Global Talent Visa, other visas with time restraints may not be considered).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in developing machine learning for computer vision models.
Experience with Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Jax, TensorFlow).Engineering skills:
Comfortable with Linux-based operating systems.
Experienced with git.
Ability to produce production-ready Python code.Additional requirements:
Experience with one or more of the following machine-learning model types:
Image semantic segmentation, classification and object detection.
Self-supervised or unsupervised learning in computer vision.
Image generative models.
Multi-modal models (image, text, clinical data)Experience with medical imaging:
CT, MRI, histopathology radiography, ultrasound.
DICOM and Nifti.
ITK, SimpleITK, VTK.
Experience with a cloud-based environment like AWS or GCP.Software development skills:
Software design and peer code review skills
Experience with automated testing (e.g. continuous integration) and test-driven development in Python
