Job Description:
Building Careers UK are recruiting on behalf of one of our Social Housing Clients in the North-West, they are seeking a dedicated Complaints Officer to manage Stage 1 and Stage 2 customer complaints across all service areas. This role involves handling complaints with empathy and objectivity, ensuring compliance with our Complaints Policy and Procedure, and responding to MP inquiries promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and investigate customer complaints thoroughly.
Ensure effective resolution and timely responses.
Record, monitor, and report on complaint progress.
Support Customer Service Advisors in logging complaints.
Identify and share learnings to drive service improvements.
Meet customers face-to-face when necessary.
Adhere to Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, and Safeguarding policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIH Level 3 or willingness to work towards it).
Proven experience in a customer-focused environment.
Knowledge of Housing Ombudsman's Complaints Handling Code.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to handle challenging situations with sensitivity and empathy.
Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others.
Financial and risk management experience.
