GSL Education is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated English Teacher to join our team in Haringey. This full-time role, starting in September 2024, focuses on teaching KS3 and KS4 students.
About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will inspire and engage students with creative and effective teaching methods. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who thrives in a supportive and inclusive environment, dedicated to helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities of an English Teacher:
Teach English to KS3 and KS4 students.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals.
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
Manage and support students with diverse learning and behavioural needs.
Requirements for the English Teacher Role:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
Experience working with children or young people in a SEN school setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting student development.
Ability to manage and support students with challenging behaviour.
A current enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for a new one.
