Are you an experienced accounts assistant looking for new contract?
Our client, is looking for an accounts assistant for a contract role for 3-6 months.
This role is to support the Finance Team in month end activities and maintenance of general ledger.
You will be responsible for:
Maintain fixed asset register monthly , booking Depreciation for all companies and updating month end accounting packs for capex spend against budget, explaining variances.
Posting of Credit card transactions and monthly reconciliations -liaising with employees to ensure all receipts are received in a timely manner.
Management and posting of any petty cash transactions.
Setting FX rates with ERP for all companies
Meeting month end deadlines by booking stock for Riggers Department, Intercompany transactions and allocation of shore maintenance costs
Management of Prepayments and insurance journals
Preparing Balance Sheet Recs for multiple entities and resolving unreconciling issues
VAT return - Submit Fuel Duty claim to HMRC in a timely manner
Corporate Tax - Maintenance of Fixed Asset Descriptions and Legal fees for Year End Tax Packs
Preparation and input of journals as requiredOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide accurate and timely information to the accountants.
Maintenance of Financial Systems and account coding structure.
Set up new suppliers when required so all suppliers paid by BACS
Ad hoc support to Finance Team including queries from Suppliers and internal departments, Adding new suppliers to system,
Providing holiday cover for other Accounts AssistantsINDFS
