Beehive Recruitment are on the lookout for a Senior Buyer / Purchasing Manager in the Speke area of Liverpool.
We are working with a world renowed organisation who are recognised for thier expertise in pharmaceutical and chemical processing.
Details of the role are as follows;

Previous experience of Procurement and Supply Chain Management at a senior level

CIPS qualification desirable

Previous experience within the Engineering sector highly desirable

Strong understanding of supply chain management and analysis
-
Manage supply chain performance and work closely with thier Operations and Quality team to ensure required performance is met
-
Procuring a mixture of made-to-order engineered and off-the-shelf goods using Just-In-Time principles
-
Strong commercial and negotiation skills
-
Excellent communicator both internally and externally, providing feedback to thier supply chain and providing progress reports for internal stakeholders

Experience of MRP and EBQ

Office-based with work-from-home days and occasional travel to suppliers across the UK and Europe

Work collaboratively with internal departments, such as Goods In, Engineering, Operations, and Sales
-
Establish and improve new and existing long-term supplier relationships, with a focus on Cost vs Quality to maximise thier market opportunity

Ability to identify risks to projects and implement risk mitigation techniques to minimise delays to live projects

Managing Sage 200 procurement software
-
Raising purchase orders, comparing order acknowledgement information against agreed quoted timeframes, and ensuring compliance with the agreed project budget

Strive for continual improvement within Procurement and Goods In

Supporting the Operations Manager on a day-to-day basis with procurement and goods in related activities
