The Role
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales volume and margin targets, managing customer relationships, and overseeing demand forecasts for specified accounts. This role also involves developing account plans, supporting new product development, and ensuring the highest level of customer service in collaboration with internal teams.
Packaging Account Manager Responsibilities
• To deliver sales volume and margin targets for specified accounts (existing and new).
• Develop and maintain relationships with your existing and potential customers.
• Own and manage the demand forecast for your accounts.
• Provide support and advice in all areas of New Product Development.
• Raise new customer enquiries as required on to our CRM system.
• Work closely with and fully support internal customer service team.
• Collaborative (Tandem) approach to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided at all times.
• Develop and deliver account plans linked to our overall sales and commercial objectives.
• Manage and maintain our customer and potential customer database within your sales territory.
• Monitor and report on market and competitors activities to assist in the development of a sustainable and profitable business as well as our future investment strategy.
• Adherence to sales KPIs including call rates, enquiry conversion rates and existing / potential customer visits.
• Completion of the annual budget process (volume and price levels).
• Manage and coordinate margin improvement / cost reduction initiatives.
• Support our production department to improve productivity through design changes as required.
• Deliver E2E business reviewed to identify areas of value creation for our customers.
• Supported by Technical Office and Innovation Project Manager.
Packaging Account Manager Requirements
• Full driving license.
• Highly motivated with a high drive to succeed.
• A proven track record of sales and business development - meeting and achieving targets, qualifying new business opportunities, managing internal relationships, developing and delivering high quality proposals.
• Demonstrable sales experience within a manufacturing sector , within the packaging sector would be an advantage.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities at a time whilst maintaining a sharp attention to detail.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint in particular).
• Experience in delivering client focused solutions to the customer.
• Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
• Flexible negotiation and excellent communication skills.
• Attentive to detail with good strategic ability.
• Strong numeracy skills.
