The Data team are a key component of the IT function. We are now looking to hire a Principal Data Modeller on a permanent basis.
More about your role
The Principal Data Modeller role is a leading role in the Data team reporting directly to the Head of Foresight and Insight.
This position will play a key role in the development and optimisation of data models, implementing data warehousing techniques and designing physical models tailored for MPP databases such as BigQuery.
You will play a key role in transforming business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models, enabling efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis. Additionally, you will be involved in data mart design and optimization, documenting and embedding business definitions into our data models, and creating a robust semantic layer for enhanced data accessibility.

You will play a key role in developing and optimising conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support the organization's data-driven initiatives.
As well as implementing effective data warehousing techniques to ensure data storage, integration and retrieval are managed effectively, you will best practice for data modelling and work with cross functional teams to deliver effective data solutions.
We will expect you to adhere to data governance policies and ensure data privacy and security standards are maintained.

Experience & Skills
Experience as a Data Modeller, Architect ore equivalent role with a focus on data model design and optimisation,
Strong experience in data warehousing techniques and designing physical models for MPP databases like Google BigQuery
Proven expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling techniques.
