Job Description: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team, offering both full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time (starting at 16 hours per week) positions. This role includes flexible hours, covering evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Sleep-ins may also be required.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain warm and trusting relationships with service users.

Promote the self-esteem, happiness, and emotional health of service users.

Respect service users’ privacy and dignity at all times.

Support service users in expressing their needs and making choices.

Enable service users to participate fully in their communities.

Assist service users in maintaining their homes and adhering to tenancy agreements.

Provide practical assistance and support in daily living skills, personal care, social activities, and community participation.

Respond to challenging behaviour with appropriate strategies.

Ensure service users receive regular health checks and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Support service users in managing personal finances and claiming benefits.

Monitor and report on service users’ well-being and significant changes.

Follow Health and Safety guidelines and contribute to project records and individual case files.
Requirements:

Demonstrated warm, person-centred approach to people with learning disabilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities.
-
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

NVQ II/III or equivalent qualification in social care is desirable.

Willingness to work flexible hours and undertake specialised training.

Clean driving licence is desirable.
