About The Role:
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our hirers accounts team. You will be experienced in purchase ledger and payments control working as part of a small team. You will play a critical role in providing support to the business, ensuring data is recorded in an accurate and timely manner. They will give you all the tools you need to thrive in an exciting environment where your role is vital to our success, allowing you to add value in process improvement and system controls.
The ideal candidate must have had previous experience in a purchase ledger and payments control environment. Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount. You will be matching, checking and coding a high volume of invoices, building relationships with other team members.
Key Responsibilities:

Start to finish Purchase Ledger role

Setting up new accounts and amending existing accounts on the Purchase ledger

Input purchase ledger invoices, credit notes, debit notes, PO's etc onto the computer system

Dealing with company credit & expenses
-
Matching supplier invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes

Approving for payment authorised invoices, credit notes, debit notes etc

Reconciliation’s of supplier’s balances with suppliers statements

Processing of monthly payment runs via BACS and cheques and ad hoc payments throughout the month

Undertaking month end procedures and reconciliations within the given deadlines.

Preparation of the quarterly payment forecast for inclusion within the cash flow forecast

Ensuring that the supplier queries are progressed to resolution on a timely basis

All aspects of supplier liaison including any query letters to be sent to suppliers
-
Generally assist and support the ‘Accounts Team’ as required with commercial, accounting and administration matters
Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will have practical accounts payable experience
-
Previous experience of working in a similar role
-
SAPB1 experience (not essential)

Excellent communication and customer service skills and a collaborative team worker is essential.

Hours of work:
- 5 days a week on site, but can be worked reduced hours, between 30 and 42.5 hours a week which can be pro-rota
