As a Senior Account Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various accounting functions within the organisation. Your duties will include:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Conduct monthly and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
