Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the water industry. This is a permanent position that offers the flexibility of hybrid working, combining remote work with office-based duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Take charge of the commercial management of projects, including quantity surveying duties for managing work packages.
Collaborate closely with design, construction, and supply chain teams to monitor, analyze, and control costs.
Work jointly with clients to ensure that business requirements and project goals are achieved.
Manage the main contract, ensuring all contractual notices and communications are properly identified and addressed.
Prepare and issue subcontract documentation as well as procurement-related documents.
Assist in the management and evaluation of subcontractor performance.
Oversee the preparation and agreement of payment applications.
Develop and present project cost and value reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Support the management and development of junior commercial staff.
Engage in continuous professional development through external networking, conferences, and industry groups to stay abreast of industry trends and innovations.
Maintain a positive, solution-focused approach to work, providing candid feedback and maintaining confidentiality where necessary.
About You:
Essential:
A degree or equivalent qualification.
Progressing towards or holding Chartered membership with a recognized institution.
Experience in the utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors.
Proficiency with NEC3 contracts.
Desirable:
Experience in managing and developing a small team or individual.
