Senior Data Modelling Manager
My client is an award winning Water provider seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Data Modelling Manager to lead the Modelling, Data, and Systems team. This critical role will drive the development and implementation of data-driven strategies to support their Water Resource management functions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead and manage the MDS team, providing data modelling, analysis, and visualization services across the organization.
Develop and implement a robust work requisition process for data and modelling support.
Establish and maintain high standards for data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
Manage workload planning and prioritization, collaborating with senior leaders to allocate resources effectively.
Oversee quality assurance of all team deliverables, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Manage operational and capital budgets associated with team activities and new initiatives.
Develop a long-term MDS strategy, aligning with broader IT strategies.
Create and execute a capability development plan for the MDS team.
Identify and implement innovative approaches in modelling, data analysis, and systems engineering.
Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve MDS service provision and efficiency.They’d love to see the following:
Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Systems Engineering, or related field
Professional membership in a recognized body (e.g., ADaSci, CIWEM)
Extensive knowledge of data management, analytics, or water resource modelling
Strong understanding of the water resources industry would be highly beneficial or other highly regulated environments
Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly
Proficiency in analytical methods and best practicesWhat’s in it for you?
