Are you an organised and detail-driven HR professional looking for an exciting opportunity in the food manufacturing industry? A market-leading manufacturer in the UK is seeking a HR Officer for a 1 year maternity cover contract to join their team at their Cheshire manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update all HR information and databases
- Maintain employee records in compliance with GDPR legislation
- Prepare and file HR documentation
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Update internal databases for sickness and absence tracking
- Provide support for disciplinary and grievance issues
- Manage HR software and provide user support
- Generate regular reports for senior management
Ideal Candidate:
- HR qualifications equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or above
- CIPD professional qualification and membership (desirable)
- Experience in recruitment and selection best practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Good working knowledge of basic employment law
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems (e.g., SAGE HR)
- Understanding of core business values integration
- Knowledge of GDPR and Health & Safety regulations
- Positive, can-do attitude
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (including 30-minute paid lunch break)
