Office Co-ordinator | Littleborough – Office Based | 39.5 standard hours per week | £28,000.00 - £30,000.00 per year
For almost 30 years, our client has been specialist suppliers of cable looms, electrical assemblies and components to the automotive industry, in particular trailer manufacturers and vehicle converters.
The ideal candidate for this pivotal role should show experience, determination, excellent communication skills, team playing, in liaising with suppliers and customers, as well as their office colleagues, Sales Manager, Production Manager and engineers on a daily basis.
This role is perfect for someone who is looking for a long-term position and who will grow with the company.
Are you the right person for the job?
Essential Criteria
2-3 years minimum experience in Business-to-Business Sales and Purchasing dealings, in a manufacturing environment, ideally of electrical and/or electronic parts for the assembly of wiring looms (12-24V), and control devices and PCBs
Comfortable with Excel calculation sheets, Outlook and other Microsoft tools and with a good understanding of multimedia platforms
Proficient with manufacturing IT systems, using MRP / Planning tools, such as SAP and/or Progress Plus.
Effective communicator at all levels and an excellent team player
Methodical and disciplined in organising a small busy place, while dealing with a wide array of tasks
Able to show initiative in organising a multi-task role, leading commercial, purchasing and engineering colleagues to communicate clearly their requirements
Desired
Purchasing & costing experience to generate purchasing schedules and customer quotes autonomously

What will your role look like?
Working and communicating directly with customers and suppliers on the phone and via email
Processing customer orders, by checking prices and agreeing delivery times with production first, before inputting into the company IT system (P+)
Coordinating with colleagues to source parts, issue BOMs, create and approve drawings, confirm lead times, keep customers updated
Recording and uploading relevant paperwork on customer files
Utilise P+ for producing purchasing and stock reports
Sourcing, negotiating, planning, scheduling and placing orders to keep stock at a minimum while meeting production needs ; then chasing purchase orders
