Power Platform Developer
Location: Peterborough / Remote
Salary: £44,650 - £47,00 per annum
Full Time – Permanent – 37 hours per week – ideally located within 1 hour of Peterborough
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join CKH in the role of Power Platform Developer! This is a brand-new role for the organisation as we've recently embarked on a digital transformation journey, leveraging the Power Platform to enhance our operations and services. We've made progress with Power BI reporting, Power Automate workflows, and Power Apps, but as a small team with ambitious goals, we're looking for someone to help us advance our use of these tools.
We're seeking a Power Platform specialist who can wear multiple hats - from developing insightful Power BI dashboards to creating efficient Power Automate workflows and building practical Power Apps. Beyond technical skills, we need someone who can bring structure to our efforts, implementing proper product lifecycle processes and helping us use these tools more strategically to benefit our residents and communities.

We are looking for someone to
Power BI Development and Management:
Design, develop, and maintain a suite of Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights across various business functions.
Optimise data models and query performance to ensure efficient reporting.
Implement and manage Power BI workspaces, apps, and dataflows.
Power Automate and Power Apps Development:
Create and optimise Power Automate flows for process automation, focusing on improving operational efficiency.
Develop Power Apps to support various business processes and user needs.
Integrate Power Platform solutions with our (SQL-based) CRM, SharePoint and Dataverse as needed.
Product Lifecycle Management:
Establish and implement proper product lifecycle processes for Power Platform solutions.
Manage the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Power Platform projects.
Create and maintain documentation for all Power Platform solutions.
Data Management and Integration:
Work with SQL databases to extract, transform, and load data for use in Power Platform solutions.
Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality and consistency across platforms.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Training:
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective Power Platform solutions.
Provide training and support to end-users on Power Platform tools and applications.
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure alignment with overall technology strategy.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
Stay up-to-date with the latest Power Platform features and best practices.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation across the organisation.
Contribute to the strategic direction of Power Platform usage within CKH.
Administration and Governance:
Assist with the administration of Power Platform environments, including user access management and security settings.
Develop and enforce governance policies for Power Platform usage within the organisation.
Essential Requirements

A degree in a quantitative discipline or relevant experience.

Willingness to work out of hours on occasion, as required by the role.

Strong experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards

Practical experience with Power Automate and Power Apps development

Understanding of data modelling and ETL processes

Knowledge of SQL and database management

Demonstrated interest in or experience within the social housing, public or charitable sectors

Excellent data visualisation skills and attention to detail

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency in DAX and M languages for Power BI

Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Ability to work independently and drive projects forward with minimal supervision

Passion for using technology to solve social issues and improve community services
Desirable Requirements

Familiarity with SharePoint and Dataverse
