Role and Responsibilities
• Act as finance business partner for the global IT department and its management teams
• Support the Finance Manager of the Finance Business Partnering team, ensuring budget holders and managers have an awareness of financial performance requirements
• Complete the monthly management reporting of performance against budget including presentation to senior management; and collaborate with department managers to identify opportunities to improve financial performance and drive cost savings.
• Support the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the Global IT department
• Work closely with other Finance teams such as Management Accounting and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Preparation of prepayment and accrual schedules for the department for the month end close.
• Manage the correct allocation of complex supplier charges in line with forecasts, ensuring this is completed in a timely manner.
• Perform regular project cost reviews, covering both capital expenditure and operating expenses. Monitor project expenditure and ensure they are within budgets.
Key Requirements
• Degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification, with a minimum of two years relevant experience gained in industry.
• Experience of working with non-Finance stakeholders is preferred, in particular in a global environment.
• Ability to deliver high quality client service by building strong trusted advisor relationships with clients and senior management;
• Good communicator, being able to tailor conversations to non-financial orientated individuals/teams;
• Ability to work independently and prioritise multiple projects
