Job Title: Senior Payroll Administrator
Location: Remote
Rate: £20 per hour
Term: 6 months – Full Time
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Administrator to join a payroll services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing client payrolls accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Manage and process payrolls for multiple clients on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities comply with current legislation, including tax regulations, pension contributions, and other statutory requirements.
Data Management: Maintain and update payroll records, including employee details, pay rates, and deductions.
Reporting: Prepare and submit payroll reports, including PAYE and NI contributions, to relevant authorities.
Client Communication: Liaise with clients to resolve payroll-related queries and provide timely support.
System Management: Utilise payroll software to ensure accurate processing and record-keeping.
Auditing: Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to junior payroll staff as needed.
Skills and Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a client-focused environment.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Education: Professional payroll certification (e.g., CIPP) is highly desirable.
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client payrolls simultaneously.
