New Age Recruiters Limited are currently recruiting for a Residential Care Worker to work within a Children Care Home located in Multiple sites across Birmingham and Rugeley. We want to recruit someone with experience of working as a Residential Care Worker with our company.
Essential skill
Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
Essential Experience
Experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting.
The capability to form meaningful relationships and attachments with adolescents is a necessary skill of a Residential Care Worker with the ability to communicate and engage with a variety of stakeholders.
Candidates must have the full right to work in the UK and sponsorship is not available
Responsibilities
Always ensure that the ethos of the Statement of Purpose is applied.
Adhere to statutory and The Client policies and procedures.
Be aware of children’s rights and work in an anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive manner.
Contribute to child care planning and review meetings when required
Ensure that client confidentiality is always maintained and observe data protection guidelines.
Act as a positive role model for newly appointed staff to the home
Contribute to a positive and supportive culture within the staff team.
Operate the petty cash system within the required guidelines.
Maintain a safe environment that complies with Health and Safety and other legal requirements.
Maintain staff routines in relation to all aspects of childcare
Take an active part in regular supervision and team meetings
Maintain upto date knowledge of the statutory and procedural framework for residential care.
Probationary Period. All positions are subject to an initial probationary period of six months. Successful completion of the probationary period is subject to continuous, satisfactory Performance and attendance at any training required.
Annual Leave. Entitlement for permanent staff is 20 days per year, plus Bank and Public
Holidays.
Hours of Work. Your hours of work are those required to carry out your duties to the satisfaction of the Company, and as necessitated by the needs of the business. This will include a rota pattern that includes weekends, evenings, sleep ins and bank holiday workings. Your rota will include attendance at team meetings, supervision, and training. Your rota is subject to change at short notice.
