Client Consultant
Location: Home-based with some travel to the office or to clients.
Travel: 2-6 days per month, primarily in the South East.
Role Summary
The position focuses on developing and driving new sales and improving sales processes for complex products within the asset finance and leasing industry. The role includes cultivating new customers, delivering new income to meet targets, and contributing to revenue growth in the UK and European markets. The initial focus will be on loan origination solutions for lenders, brokers, and dealers. As the role matures, there will be opportunities to support the broader sales team in new business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a pipeline of new clients, focusing on your designated area.
- Build and maintain relationships with key executives and senior management within assigned accounts.
- Prioritise and close new business opportunities to meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Provide a consultative approach to understand business requirements and develop business use cases.
- Oversee the sales process from initial contact to contract closure, including product demonstrations and proposal preparations.
- Keep CRM systems up to date to manage the sales pipeline transparently.
- Support continuous product development to improve offerings and client experiences.
- Represent the company at conferences and networking events.
- Support marketing activities to enhance brand presence and build the sales pipeline.
- Track market trends and provide insights into new business opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts and commercial models.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure client needs are understood and met.
- Contribute to the growth and development of new joiners within the Sales and Marketing department.
- Review outgoing documents for quality and content.
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Approximately 5 years in a similar role within the finance industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, familiar with CRM systems, and knowledgeable about financial technology products in the UK and Europe.
- Essential Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and sales skills, excellent organisational and project management abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Desirable: Comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels, evidence of continuous personal development, and a technical background, especially in asset finance and associated accountancy practices
