Projects Manager salary £50,000 per annum plus pension and usual benefits

Main Purpose of the Job
The role of the complex projects manager is to provide full life cycle management and success of complex specialist structure projects. The complex projects manager will ensure that excellent client service is being delivered with positive commercial outcomes while always maintaining safe working practices.
The role of the complex projects manager is a varied and challenging role, delivering our most complex structures across the OOHM, Defence, Exterior Lighting and Telecoms Markets.
Main Duties for the Projects Manager

Attending sites for surveys and multi-skilled visits, including visits to assist with tender preparation, assessing foundation positions, general build and delivery / unload area, traffic/pedestrian management and lifting requirements.

Assisting the estimating team with considerations, including but not limited to design, civils and steelwork costs, build methodology, plant and equipment requirements.

Agreement of project objectives

Actively participate in handovers from the sales team to set the grounds for project success

Ensure the group Health and Safety standards are met and maintained during all operations, including full oversight of the construction phase health and safety plan.

Carry out all work in accordance with the company QA procedures and CDM regulations

Develop a detailed project plan, tracking and driving progress towards project completion.

Instruct all elements of site work including site-based investigations (geotechnical, topographical etc) civils work, traffic management, welfare, deliveries, site installation teams, heavy lifts (via an AP).

Monitor/manage sub-contractors and third parties/vendors

Management of all project stakeholders, both internal and external

Manage project budgets to ensure all legislate contract costs are recovered and works are delivered safely within budget.

Ensure clear understanding and compliance with the client’s instructions and contractual communication within the team.

The role may require occasional travel and working away from home, UK wide
