Our client is a third sector organisation looking for a Cafe Manager/Cook to join the team.
As the Café Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the café, managing staff and maintaining high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.
• Train and supervise café staff to ensure they provide excellent service and adhere to company policies and procedures including HACCP and health and safety.
• To have knowledge of kitchen operations and how to run a kitchen in a busy environment including preparing food and cooking to a high standard.
• Be responsible for creating new menus and pricing.
• Making sure all allergens sheets are update when preparing a new dish for the menu or using a new product.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
• Create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and employee development.
• Ensure the café stays clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards.
• Manage stock levels, ordering from approved suppliers when needed and ensuring appropriate and efficient stock rotation to limit and control wastage.
• Ensuring all cash handling procedures are upheld and being accountable for Café funds while running a shift.
• Work alongside Voluntary Services Team to recruit new volunteers, manage volunteer rotas and ensuring training is provided for new volunteers.
• Managing staff rotas, holidays and keeping staff costs within monthly budget. Required to complete timesheets for staffing hours and report to Finance department.
