PERMANENT POSITION

ROLE
Purpose
To maintain in good working order and condition all machinery, buildings and associated equipment used in the production and packaging of products.
Key responsibilities:
To be self-motivated in the managing of breakdowns of machinery and the use to own initiative to prioritise workload and minimise downtime.
To carry out planned maintenance procedures as instructed to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
To be responsible in ensuring all equipment is safe during and after servicing and whilst it is in use.
To maintain a professional operation, fully meeting all company, customer and legislative standards primarily safety, quality, hygiene and industrial relations.
To keep abreast of best practice and developments inside and outside the company to ensure continuous improvements within the maintenance operation (i.e. training, literature etc.).
Become familiar with operations/equipment and cooperate with other departments to support problem-solving and drive plant performance.
Assist new Engineering colleagues to integrate into the role and the business.
Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures including Food Safety and Health and Safety legislation requirements.
CANDIDATE
HNC Qualification or equivalent is essential. Experience working in the Food Manufacturing sector or similar is desirable.

Shift:
Week 1: Mon – Thurs (3pm – 1am) Fri (3-8pm)
Week 2: Mon –Fri (6am – 3pm)
Week 3: one day during the week at 6-3pm, then sat – sun, 6-6pm
Average: 41hr working week
Salary: £42,500 + 15% shift allowance (total: £48,875)
