Job Title: Food Safety & Quality Manager
Location: Howden, Goole
Salary: £40,000
Do you have previous experience as a quality manager within a food manufacturing/FMCG business? If so, we want to hear from you! Our client is a family ran food manufacturer based in Howden, Goole and they are looking to add to their existing team due to recent expansion. The position offers lots of exposure, autonomy and progression and will be a great fit for someone with that foundation of around 5 years of experience looking for a new challenge.
Responsibilities:
-Ensure site quality and compliance in line with legislative and industry regulations
-Manage interactions with clients and suppliers, keeping a log of root cause analysis and retrospective actions.
-Continuous improvement for the department.
-Adhere to and maintain/enforce food safety and hygiene standards.
-Plan, control and coordinate activities conducted by the quality team.
-Manage the quality budget.
-Maintain quality systems and procedures whilst ensuring a safe working environment.
-Meet quality dept KPI’s
-Maintain measuring equipment ensuring calibration adheres to industry standards.
-Take lead for quality sections on audits.
-Detect and resolve issues which affect the performance or safety of plant or equipment.
-Pioneer best practices and introduce new technologies where applicable.
-Liaise with technical manager to ensure customer specifications are up to date and maintained.
-Implement, develop and maintain shelf life trials procedures and processes.
-GMP, Fabrication and Glass & Hard Plastic Audits.
-Risk assessments.
-Assist Technical Manager with site visits.
-Assist Technical Manager with 3rd party audits.
-Key member of the Food Safety, HACCP, TACCP and VACCP team.
-Implement and maintain hygiene schedules.
-Site lead for lab testing, trending and reporting.
Skills / Experience:
-Quality experience within a food manufacturing environment
-Experience within a UK retail customer facing role.
-Experience as a quality manager within an FMCG business.
-TACCP/HACCP
-Level 4 Food Hygiene
-NEBOSH/IOSH
