We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Freelance Health & Safety Advisor to join our clients team for a 12-month contract. This role involves working closely with the main contractor on a refurbishment projects in Central Scotland, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety Management:

Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.

Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS):

Incident Investigation:
-
Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Compile detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Training and Education:

Compliance and Legislation:

Reporting and Documentation:
-
Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, incidents, and training.

Prepare and present regular health and safety reports to senior management.

Communication and Liaison:
Qualifications and Experience:

NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH

Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within the construction industry.

In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
