What will you do?
The role of the Training Team Leader is to work with the Warehouse Managers and Night Shift Trainer to ensure that relevant Material Handling Equipment training is conducted to the highest standard. This will be across all shifts and all the differing types of MHE.
They will conduct both ‘Theory’ and ‘Practical’ training for all new starters in the warehouse to ensure Health and Safety is of the highest level. They will play a key role in the business as part of the Health and Safety Improvement Group and due to their detailed understanding of MHE compliance, the Training Team Leader is involved in developing MHE Risk Assessments, Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Work.
Responsibilities:

Deliver training to all new starters as well as any top ups needed for current employees.

Develop and roll-out training programmes dependant on the needs of the operation.

Performing risk assessments.

Ensure all training programs comply with regulatory requirements.

Keep detailed, hard copy training records and manage the upload of training documents to the Armstrong Training Matrix.

Collaborate with other departments to assist where needed with things such as stock take and audits.

Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years experience of operating material handling equipment.

Prior experience in training or instructional role essential.

Strong knowledge of various types of MHE and their safe operation.

Ability to assess and evaluate trainees performance effectively.

Relevant qualifications from approved governing bodies to perform MHE training
