Summary: We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager: Tax and Technical to lead a Museum's VAT and tax team, to drive efficiency through improvement and automation projects. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance, providing technical guidance, and managing the Museum's investments and financial systems.

The Role:
Line manage and develop the VAT and tax team.
Plan and deliver improvement and automation/simplification projects.
Oversee preparation of returns to key stakeholders, including HMRC.
Provide technical guidance on VAT, PAYE, gift aid, and foreign tax issues.
Manage investments and oversee financial systems administration. The Successful Candidate:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with excellent technical knowledge of VAT, corporation tax, and payroll taxes.
Experience with charity VAT, including partial exemption VAT returns.
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with relevant accounting standards.
