We are currently recruiting for a Service Manager for a manufacturing and engineering business with a stellar reputation and a well deserved reputation as an employer of choice. This Service Manager role will take overall control of the performance of 35 Service Engineers through 3 Supervisors who run day to day operations. The Service Manager will be concerned more with strategic planning than day to day supervision.

- Performance management of the UK service department
- Coaching, mentoring and motivating supervisory staff and their teams
* Budget and forecasting responsibility
- Strategic planning
- Customer visits when appropriate
- Recruitment of staff when appropriate
Service Manager - Education, skills and experience - Mechanical Engineering, Aftermarket, Service Engineer, Field Support
- At least 5 years at Service Manager level
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
- High level of commercial awareness
- Strong PC skills on common Microsoft Office packages
- Exposure to ERP/MRP systems
- Experienced in budget preparation and forecasting
