Our client is an HMRC-approved Payroll Giving Agency and UK-registered charity, nestled on the foot of Dartmoor, in the glorious town of Tavistock, Devon. Our client's primary activity is the processing of Payroll Giving donations on behalf of clients and donors throughout the United Kingdom, who also provide a number of related services to both individual and corporate clients in a number of countries around the world.

What
We are looking for an experienced Senior Administrator/Finance Assistant to join our client's small and efficient team in Tavistock, Devon. Having patience, a cheerful disposition and a can-do attitude is a must. As a Senior Administrator/Finance Assistant, you will provide a high level of support to their team and senior management colleagues as they seek to deliver an efficient service to clients, donors and charities.
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis (subject to satisfactory completion of 6-month probationary period). Our client may consider a position working 30 hours per week for the right candidate. A hybrid working pattern may be accommodated after successful completion of probationary period but the role should be considered as primarily office based.
As the Senior Administrator/Finance Assistant your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to): -

Providing administrative support to the rest of the team and senior management

Preparing correspondence, reports and other documents for the Finance Manager & Board of Trustees

General office management duties (e.g. maintaining office supplies, liaising with suppliers, etc.)

Processing Invoices

Reconciling client accounts

Supporting the Finance Manager with annual audit

Answering telephone calls and taking messages as required

You will be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work individually on your own initiative and in support of other team members.

Minimum of 5 years practical experience of working in an office environment

Educated to A level (or equivalent standard) or above

Demonstrable experience of working with Microsoft Office applications (in particular Excel)

Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Experience in the use of Sage (or willingness to learn)

Experience and/or understanding of ISO standards 27001 & 9001 would be an advantage
