We're seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive primary school in Burnley. You'll play a vital role in supporting our teachers, creating personalised learning experiences, and helping children with SEN reach their full potential.
About the Role:
Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and deliver individualised learning plans for children with SEN.
Provide tailored support in the classroom, ensuring all children can access the National Curriculum and feel included.
Create a positive and nurturing environment that caters to the specific needs of SEN children.
Implement effective strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
Experience working with SEN children and/or challenging behaviour is essential.You'll be a great fit if you:
Hold a relevant qualification for working with children in schools, such as a Level 2 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
Have extensive experience working in a classroom environment with SEN pupils.
Possess a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and how it can be adapted for SEN needs.
Are passionate about fostering a love of learning in all children, regardless of ability.
Demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Have a proven ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.We Offer:
