Part Time - Purchasing Administrator
Location: Margate, CT9
Contract: Temporary
Pay Rate: £11.50 - £12.50 DOE
Working Days: 3 days, 15 -20 per week, times to be agreed
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Administrator to join our clients successful and well-established business. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, with a strong skill set in using Sage200 to create and process purchase orders. This role will involve working closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely delivery schedules, processing purchase orders and invoices accurately, and assisting the finance team with month-end tasks and stock take.
This is a temporary role for approx. 2 months with the possibility of extending. Working hours are very flexible but you will need to work a minimum of 3 days.
Key Responsibilities:

Utilise Sage200 to create and process purchase orders

Liaise with the warehouse team to confirm delivery dates and schedules

Process purchase orders and invoices for approval, ensuring prompt payment

Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery dates and resolve any issues

Review purchase orders at month-end and follow up on outstanding invoices for payment

Assist the finance team with month-end tasks and stock take

Identify any concerns regarding costings and escalate as necessary

Work collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental goals

Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks

Be IT literate and proficient in using relevant software and systems
Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a production environment

Proficiency in using Sage200 for order processing

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers

Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry

Team player with a collaborative approach to work

IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
