Everest People Solutions is seeking a Skilled Butchers for an esteemed business in Yorkshire. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly preparing and cutting meat, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental responsibility. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Work and execute the plan set out for the Butchery department.

Understand and ensure adherence to all meat production, service, and customer procedures (including H&S procedures and policies and safe systems of working).

Implement best practices where possible to ensure adherence to all food production, service, and customer procedures, driving continuous improvement activity onsite.

Take personal accountability to understand your duties and responsibilities.

Support across multiskilled and trained areas of the business as requested.

Flexibly undertake any other duties like this level of post, according to the needs of the business.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements:

Experience working in a similar role.

Understanding of H&S policy, procedures, and working safely.

Experience working within established butchery or related roles.
-
Level 1 Food Safety Award.

Awareness of manual handling techniques.
-
Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety.

Experience with meat preparation equipment.

Basic understanding of English.

Good communication skills to interact with colleagues.
