JOB DESCRIPTION: National Sales Manager
Location: Home-based but candidates need to be able to attend monthly meetings in Yorkshire and Devon and travel throughout UK as required.

Purpose of Role:
Our client is one on the UK's largest garage equipment providers, and their strategy is to grow their business and increase market share by creating the most comprehensive range of products, brands, and value-added services. This role is to head up the sales functions within selected sales channels on all propositions. In addition to leading and managing a team, this role also serves as the lead strategic contact for their most important customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a sales team, identifying required resources, organising training using existing group resources, and performance managing to maximize turnover and profitability
Serve as the main strategic contact for selected important customers, addressing their immediate needs while developing sales plans to gain a larger share of their business for both sales and service propositions
Fulfil customer expectations in line with agreements
Utilize resources within the company to provide solutions to problems, ensuring that related customer complaints are resolved promptly and cost-efficiently where applicable
Report on key metrics such as revenue levels, order book, and lost sales analysis
Provide feedback on market activity for both products and competitors, ensuring accurate data to inform company decisions
Provide the best possible customer experienceQualifications & Requirements:
Full knowledge of the industrial/manufacturing sector, ideally garage equipment
Experience of leading a sales team
Leadership, organisational, and people management skills
Proven successful sales history
Ability to communicate, present, and influence at all levels
Commercial and financial awareness, including data analysis to support key business decisions
Current UK driving licence and UK/EU passport
