Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a privately-owned construction business in the North East who, due to continued growth, are on the lookout for a Storeman in their head office.
This presents an excellent opportunity for someone to join a business who truly cares about their staff with plenty of future growth.
Your main duties in the role will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Kitting vans with materials required for site and manufactured products
- Taking calls from Contracts Managers to organise which materials/products are required for the site
- Ensuring that waste materials are correctly organised and disposed of in the correct manner
- Usage of a Counterbalance Forklift to load materials
- Correctly packaging and storing materials to ensure that there are no damages for when they are delivered to sites
- Carrying out stock control for available materials and notifying the team when more is to be ordered in
- Maintain a safe working environment with the Stores Manager to ensure that all Health & Safety policies are adhered to
- Uphold the company values and provide the best service to both Clients and Employees
To be considered for the role you must hold some, if not all, of the following:
- Counterbalance Forklift/Reach Truck License essential
- Full UK Driving License
- First Aid at Work qualified
- Fire Safety aware
- IT Literate (use of stock control systems/Microsoft Office etc)
- Previous experience of working within a Construction/Manufacturing business
Working Hours
- 8am to 5pm - Monday to Thursday
- 8am to 4pm - Friday
Remuneration
The client are looking to pay a salary of circa £25,000 on an hourly basis (varies depending on experience)
