About the Role:
This provider is seeking an individual ready to take the next step into management or seeking a new challenge in leading a team in the residential care sector. As part of a management group of nine, you will lead and inspire a team of carers, supported by experienced managers and senior managers to help you achieve your goals and those of the children in your care.
Responsibilities:
•Manage two homes with a team of up to 12 people.
•Work collaboratively with the management team to deliver the highest quality care to children.
•Provide a stable and secure environment for vulnerable, challenging children and young people from backgrounds of trauma and neglect, enabling them to thrive.
Location:
The homes are based in Huddersfield, a large town in West Yorkshire, England, known for its historic architecture, the University of Huddersfield, and its role in the Industrial Revolution. Huddersfield boasts excellent transport links, including a railway station, bus services, and proximity to major motorways such as the M1 and M62.
Requirements:
A genuine desire to change a child's life.
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Children and Young People's Workforce.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in residential child care within the last 5 years.
At least 1 year of experience supervising and managing a staff team.
Willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care, if not already obtained (support provided).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work well as part of a dedicated team.

Courage to take risks and embrace mistakes.
Good understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
Strong decision-making skills.
A full license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
