Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire sales funnel, from prospecting through to closing deals. This includes identifying and securing new business opportunities, focusing on generating revenue and expanding our client base. This role requires a proactive individual with a proven track record in sales and business development within the video production or related creative industries.
Looking to build the department so minimum of 2 years in Business Development is crucial to really push the company. And travel is to be expected at part of the role so having own vehicle and full clean UK driving license is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets.
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients through regular communication and meetings.
Manage the entire sales process, from initial contact through to closing deals.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to secure new business.
Collaborate with the creative and production teams to ensure client needs and expectations are met.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to generate revenue growth.
Monitor and report on sales performance and market developments.
Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets.
Ensure a seamless transition of new clients to the account management team, while remaining involved in sales activities within the account if required.
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company's services and generate leads.
Requirements:
Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably within the video production or creative industry.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Ability to manage the entire sales funnel, from prospecting to closing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
Good understanding of the video production process and market trends.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
Benefits:
Competitive base salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
Attractive commission structure with OTE of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum.
Commission paid on the first 12 months of revenue from each new client secured.
Ongoing commission for revenue beyond the first 12 months if the BDM has direct involvement in sales within the account.
