Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated Stores Assistant on a temp to perm basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the stores in compliance with BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and the client's quality system.
Monitor stock levels and carry out stock checks to ensure accurate inventory records.
Generate purchase orders for stock and consumable items.
Source competitive pricing for supplies to optimise costs.
Use a forklift for unloading, stacking deliveries, and moving materials as needed.
Receive goods, book items on Job Boss and Excel, and allocate Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
Issue stock and record transactions on Job Boss.
Compile material picking lists and ensure accurate labelling of materials.
Return rejected goods to suppliers promptly and ensure proper labelling and recording.
Monitor and replenish personal protection equipment (PPE) and keep accurate records.
Monitor compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
Address any issues in the stores promptly and effectively.
Perform any other tasks as reasonably requested by management.
Job Requirements:
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred but not required).
Proficiency in using inventory management software and Excel.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Reliability and punctuality are essential.
Understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
