Job Title: Warehouse Shift Manager
Location: Wigan
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
As the Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving quality and efficiency within a dynamic operation. This position offers the chance to lead and develop a team of Managers and Warehouse Colleagues, ensuring that both individual and collective goals are met, and customer service levels are achieved.
Overview of responsibilities:
Leadership Development: Manage and develop a team of Team Managers and operatives. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving team performance and ensuring quality standards.
Strategic Impact: Play a key role in planning for peak periods and liaising with agency labour providers. Your input will ensure seamless operations across a number of different customer requirements.
Quality Assurance: Take overall responsibility for the quality of work carried out by your teams. Implement QC checks, monitor results, and drive continuous improvement.
Efficiency & Budget Management: Ensure outbound department activities are achieved within budget, ensuring quality standards are met.
Health and Safety: Ensure compliance within your team, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Experience needed:
Proven experience in a Shift Manager, Team Manager, or Warehouse Manager role within Warehouse/DC Operations, Manufacturing, or Production background.
Leadership: Demonstrates effective leadership with a positive ‘can do’ mindset.
Performance Management: Ability to ensure compliance with established processes whilst achieving required KPIs and SLAs, within budget.
Planning: Effective planning skills, particularly in resource deployment.
Systems: Experienced in using and analysing data from WMS.
