Transport Administrator
It is not essential to have experience in this field of work, salary dependent.
Our Transport Coordinators are an integral part of our business as they assist and manage new bookings in line with company procedures.
Transport Administrator role:
- Transport Coordinators act as the first point of contact for all Drivers and customer queries throughout the day, ensuring that deliveries remain on schedule and support with resolving any issues. Receive orders over the telephone and input into the computer systems.
- To effectively negotiate prices with customers.
- Allocate routes to our Drivers for the following day, managing their expectations.
- Ensure all vehicles are compliant, support with ensuring the vehicles is serviced and maintained correctly.
- Update daily reports for the office and log any issues.
- Raising purchase order’s when required
Transport Administrator requirements:
- Consistent level of performance, ensuring that time and cost guidelines are always followed.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Recent experience in a similar role (not essential but advantageous)
- Work well under pressure and be able to quickly offer solutions to resolve any issues.
- Good communication skills both written and verbally.
- Good customer service, with negotiation and tele sales skills.
- Competent use of Microsoft, particularly Excel.
