Job Title: Internal Sales

Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Internal Salesperson to work for our client at their facility in Oldbury, the role is an exciting new opportunity working within their Sales Department reporting to the Sales Manager.
The role will be heavily involved in the selling of tool steels and would suit someone with an excellent understanding of the business requirements and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of key accounts to hit and exceed specified targets – focused area with external sales partner
Accurately takes verbal enquiries
Swift and accurate turnaround from enquiry to quotation, either verbal or written
Chases quotation to win orders and if the order isn’t placed ascertain why
Negotiates with customers, suppliers and colleagues at all levels
Accurately and correctly input sales orders onto the computer system in a timely manner
Resolve any queries or problems as speedily as possible
Keep your line manager and colleagues aware of anything major in the pipeline, good or bad
File documentation accurately with contacts and files kept up-to-date
Keep accurate specific customer information up to date by using the company CRM system.
Develop customer call plans
Visit key customers with the external sales team if and when required
Understand group products and offer if there is a customer need
Build supplier relationships
Support the wider team when needed
Manage quotation management system when required
Follow the training you received when using any work items given to you
Take reasonable care of your own and other people’s health and safety
Co-operate with your employer on health and safety
Tell someone (supervisor, or health and safety representative) if you think the work or inadequate precautions are putting anyone’s health and safety at serious risk
Support the company with environmental initiatives and any compliance issues
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Minimum of 5 ‘O’ levels/GCSE’s or equivalent to, as training will be given.
Experience: Sales experience in the steel industry, in particular tooling and the industries related to these products. Key Account Management with technical sales experience, particularly with drawings and specifications

Physical Demands
35 hours a week, exact timing to be agreed. However, you may often need to work extra hours but there will be some flexibility on the exact working times.
Your role will be mainly office based, although you may be travelling to visit customers, suppliers or to attend meetings and conferences.
