For the successful Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager our client is offering:
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience & skillset)
Days working hours
Permanent role
Company car or car allowance
Pension with up to 8% contribution from the client

The Role - Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager :
To lead and be accountable for the heath & safety for the entire project
Establish and provide leadership in best practice in safety, health and sustainability matters for the project
Advise and support the project directors, managers and supervisors to discharge their H&S responsibilities regarding their employees and others to whom they have duty as defined by legislation
Ensure management controls are in place so that all staff are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities
Take a lead with site management teams ensuring compliance
Manage & carry out regular surveillance, inspections, audits of sites and workplaces to ensure all works are being carried out in accordance to the heath & safety policies
Lead, partake and oversee accident/ indecent investigations
Manage, collate and review H&S statistics for the project to identify trends and areas of improvement
Provide reports, presentations and information
Develop, organisie and oversee induction processes
What our client is looking for in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager :
NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ 5 in Occupational Safety and Health (Preferred)
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate ESSENTIAL
IOSH Certificate BENEFICIAL
Previous on-site experience on major infrastructure projects (ideally Tunnel projects) - ESSENTIAL
Qualified under CSCS Card system ESSENTIAL
Experience of Environmental Management in a construction environment BENEFICIAL
An excellent understanding of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Risk Management, legislation and industry standards
Have knowledge of different environments such as working at height, confined spaces and arrangement of equipment plus knowledge of safety practices to use in conjunction with tools and plant in the workplace.
An understanding and application of administrative processes for Principal Contractor and Contractor as required by CDM 2015 Regulations
Understanding and application of administrative processes for Temporary Works
Understanding and application of administrative processes for New Roads and Streetworks Activities
Hold a current UK Driving Licence
Have suitable PC Skills using Microsoft office software
