Job Title: HR Officer
Location: Consett
Salary: Circa £28,000+

Job Description:
The HR Officer provides first-line support for HR queries and ensures compliance for all HR administration and data reporting. They manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide administration support for the employee lifecycle.

Respond to HR queries via email and telephone.

Maintain employee records in compliance with GDPR.

Provide first-line HR advice to Team Leaders and Managers.

Manage recruitment activities including onboarding, right-to-work checks, and employment reference checks.

Produce regular and ad hoc HR reports.

Support recruitment activities, including drafting job adverts, coordinating interviews, and liaising with candidates.

Maintain employee absence records and monitor absence processes.

Collate and provide payroll information.

Support with absence and disciplinary meetings.

Conduct and analyze exit interviews.

Assist with ad hoc HR projects as required.
Skills & Experience:
Qualifications:
- Essential: Educated to at least NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
Knowledge & Experience:
- Essential: Experience using HR software, HR administration, providing HR first-line advice, collecting and interpreting HR data, and knowledge of employment legislation.
Skills and Key Competencies:
