Job Description
As the School Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. Your role is essential in creating a positive and efficient front office environment. You will handle a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the smooth operation of the school.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and welcome students, parents, staff, and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
Answer and direct phone calls, taking and relaying messages accurately.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including email correspondence.
Maintain visitor logs and ensure security protocols are followed.
Provide basic information and assistance to students, parents, and visitors.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
Schedule appointments and manage the school calendar.
Coordinate with teachers and staff to facilitate communication and information flow.
Handle inquiries and concerns with discretion and confidentiality.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in an educational setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with using office equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Experience of using SIMS is desirable, but training is available.Term Time only
37 hours a week Monday- Friday
Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4pm
Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm (hours are negotiable for the right candidate)
