Job Title: Supplier Planner
Salary: Circa £34,000 depending on experience
Location: Stevenage/Bolton (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: For this role, British Citizenship or a Dual UK national with British citizenship required.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
The opportunity:
Do you want to play a significant part in the development of our Supplier Planning activities, aligning us to the Oliver Wight Class A standards? As we develop our Operational Excellence process, an opportunity has arisen to work within the Major Equipment Procurement (MEP) business, with close working relationships with Manufacturing Operations. You'll have specific supplier/category opportunities to drive improved delivery and inventory performance. The business is fully behind this important initiative and so it is a perfect time to deliver some significant change and improvements.
What we're looking for from you:
Working in an MRP Planning background
Experienced at working with a large ERP system, ideally SAP
Goal orientated with strong cultural awareness, excellent team working capabilities
Experience of liaising with suppliers and Purchase Orders, as well as within a manufacturing environment
Results oriented with strong cultural awareness, excellent team working capabilities and able to drive key decisions through the supply base
Experience of working with suppliers and scheduled orders/PO`s
Ideally with experience of both working with suppliers as well as within a manufacturing environment with an ability to negotiate to meet deadlines
Collaborator management
Ability to have a full picture view and work cross functionally
Continuous improvements mind-set
Problem solving skills
Experience of working with/ Implementation of Air Supply would be a distinct advantage
CPIM or prepared to work towards it
