Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (42.5 hours)
Working as part of the sales team in a sales environment. Answering the telephone politely and efficiently. Accurately booking customer orders, sourcing products where required. Dealing with customer service and sales enquiries promptly and professionally including by email. Ensuring knowledge of the company’s products and services is kept up to date. Adhering to company policies and procedures including Health and Safety policy. Always Representing the company in a professional manner. An initial 12 week temporary to permanent position which will become permanent thereafter.
Responsibilities:

Accurate processing of customer orders received via telephone, fax, and email

Answering the telephone promptly in a professional and friendly manner

Generating repeat sales through the creation of strong customer relationships

Negotiating commercial terms within set guidelines

Sourcing products and negotiating with suppliers where required

Generating additional sales by offering customers additional or complementary products when placing orders

Responding to customer service enquiries professionally and in a timely manner

Handling customer complaints courteously and professionally

Working to achieve departmental KPI targets including sales and profit objectives

Working closely with other departments to ensure customer requirements are met

Using company IT systems effectively and accurately maintaining company records

Attending sales meetings and training sessions where required

Undertaking any other reasonable requests for work as assignment
Skills & Experience:

At least 2 years’ experience working as part of a busy sales team

Answering the telephone promptly in a professional and friendly manner

Demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels

Demonstrate a professional telephone manner

Must be computer literate and have excellent keyboard skills

Ability to deal with technical product information

Ability to prioritise work

Ability to adapt to new procedures and more effective ways of working
