Head of Social Overview
The Head of Social will lead and manage a dynamic social media team, develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies, oversee high-quality content creation, and analyse performance metrics. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of social media platforms to drive engagement and achieve marketing objectives across multiple high-profile accounts in various sectors.
The Head of Social Responsibilities Include:
Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with the overall marketing objectives.
Set goals, identify target audiences, and select the most suitable platforms for engagement.
Oversee the creation and curation of high-quality and engaging content across social media channels, ensuring all content, including written posts, images, videos, and multimedia elements, resonates with the target audience and reflects the brand image.
Lead and manage a team of social media managers, a TikTok Shop team, and an influencer outreach manager, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment, inspiring and motivating the team to achieve excellence.
Analyse social media metrics and generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies, identifying trends, understanding user behaviour, and making data-driven decisions to optimize social media efforts.
Work closely with cross-functional teams such as paid ads, CRM, and SEO departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align strategies, allocate social budgets, and deliver strong results.
Maintain an expert-level understanding of the latest trends, tools, and industry best practices, staying ahead of algorithm changes, emerging platforms, and new features to ensure cutting-edge strategies and informed decisions.
Share knowledge of social media trends and best practices with the wider team to maintain a competitive edge. Head of Social Requirements & Skills:
Several years of experience within the social media sector.
A key understanding of omni-channel e-commerce marketing.
Previous agency experience is a must.
Proven leadership and managerial experience working with a team spanning different social media channels.
Strategic thinking with the ability to develop comprehensive social media strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A creative mindset with the ability to execute innovative ideas to attract and engage a target audience.
Proficiency in analysing social media metrics and using analytics tools for tracking the performance of campaigns and making data-driven decisions.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to delegate tasks effectively and inspire your team.
Adaptable and quick to learn and implement new trends, technologies, and platforms, with the ability to pivot strategies when needed.
Deep understanding of various social media platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and their features.
Experience with TikTok Shop and creator marketplace is essential.
Familiarity with social media management, scheduling, and reporting tools.
