Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Shepton Mallet who are actively looking to recruit a Food Development Technician to join the team.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the NPD Manager, along with the support of a strong technical team. You will be responsible for:
Developing, testing, and optimising products and processes to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.
Responsible for Concept and recipe development of New and Existing products.
Leading projects to showcase products and support customer briefs.
You will work closely with marketing and commercial teams to develop recipes and prepare samples for customer presentations
Trailing different ingredients in customer recipes.What you will need to succeed:
HACCP qualified or equivalent
Food Science or Technology degree and/or relevant experience in development or technical skills in a chilled or liquid processing manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality policies, procedures, and work instructions to produce safe, legal, and authentic products to a specified quality.What you will receive in return:
£35,000 - £38,000 a year
Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, equating to 37.5 hours per week. (flex to cover product launches)
33 days holiday per annum (including Bank Holidays).What you need to do next:
