Principal People are working with a leading manufacturing organisation to recruit a Health and Safety Officer to manage and oversee the health and safety of one of their Birmingham sites with occasional travel and support for an additional site in Birmingham.
Reporting to the Group Safety Manager alongside one other Health and Safety Officer, this is a fantastic opportunity to have a close working relationship with an experienced leader within Health and Safety building on your knowledge and skill set, potentially kick-starting your career in the industry.

The successful Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for:
Carrying out on-site Health and Safety duties, including accident investigations, site audits, risk assessments and site inductions.
Offering appropriate advice and support to the on-site staff around Health and Safety matters.
Creating and Implementing practical and effective methods to promote awareness of Health and Safety.
Creating positive relationships with the sites to help improve the HSE Culture across the business.
The successful Health and Safety Officer will have:
IOSH Managing Safely as a Minimum (NEBOSH General Certificate is desirable)
Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of a business.
A passion and commitment towards health and safety as well as their own development within the industry.
A background in manufacturing or heavy machinery environments is preferable but not essential.
